the brief

The three Carnegie Trusts were uniting under new premises with the aim of creating business synergies, as well as shared resource and knowledge management. Having previously occupied various sites across Dunfermline, Constructive was tasked with delivering a move strategy for the project, in addition to a complete interior solution. Interacting with staff and conducting workshops allowed Constructive to create mock-ups, showing employees how they could successfully interact with their new space and bring the Carnegie Trusts forward into the 21st century.

the solution

Constructive incorporated bespoke solutions and carefully selected furniture to ensure that both durability and the required aesthetic were delivered. In addition, a close working relationship with Page and Park architects allowed Constructive to tie-in product finishes with the building’s design.

the result

Considered a resounding success, Andrew Carnegie House was officially opened in February 2008 by Princess Anne. In November 2008 the building was awarded the GIA Design Award. Constructive continue to work with the Carnegie Trusts to ensure the effective maintenance of workplace management and strategy.
