the brief

Conceived as a dynamic nerve centre for the 21st century, BBC Scotland’s new headquarters lie at the heart of an urban digital media community on the banks of River Clyde. Constructive’s task was to ease communication and promote creativity between departments: touchdown spaces and functional zones were designed to support BBC Scotland’s strategy and to create a stimulating, multifunctional workplace.

the solution

In order to allow BBC Scotland to modernise their business and production processes, Constructive provided solutions that maximised the benefits of new technology. In addition, the use of carefully selected furnishings allowed the creation of an innovative working environment with accessible, flexible and efficient spaces.

the result

Pacific Quay opened its doors to staff, audiences, community groups and visitors in March 2007. The facility is recognised as a centre of broadcasting and technological excellence.
