the brief
Constructive and Herman Miller worked with Merrill Lynch’s local facility and European design teams during the refurbishment of Spectrum House, a renovated 1960s office block distinguished by its shiny aluminium cladding. Because employees were to be relocated from temporary office accommodation to the newlyrefurbished facility, the brief stipulated the importance of a thorough understanding of the employees’ requirements.
the solution
Constructive worked closely with the local IT and facilities team, developing suitable workstations that matched Merrill Lynch’s European design criteria. The space available was carefully designed to create a collaborative atmosphere, which simultaneously allows business teams and leaders to benefit from individual workspaces.
the result
The project was completed on time and within budget over the course of one weekend. Constructive provided flexible and durable solutions through a combination of open-plan areas, cellular offices, training suites, boardrooms and public spaces.
