Constructive Workspace (Axis) worked with BDP and Napier University during the pre and post stages of the £30m extension and refurbishment at the Napier Campus in Edinburgh.

The Management School boasts some of the most modern teaching and learning facilities in Scotland. It is a landmark building which is not only a feature of the University but also part of Edinburgh’s rich architectural mix. The most striking part of this development is the egg-shaped Lindsay Stewart lecture theatre that faces directly towards Edinburgh castle.

The titanium-covered ‘egg’ can seat up to 200 students and its oval shape improves interaction and acoustics, because it allows students to be closer to the lecturer at the front of the hall.
