the brief
When leading Nordic bank SEB was looking to consolidate the investment bankers in the SEB Enskilda team from London’s Wood Street to the main office on Cannon Street, it crystallized the need for an impressive modern meeting suite both for liaising with clients and for clients to use for their own meetings. SEB Enskilda hosts up to 250 client presentations a year. Constructive was appointed to produce the solution as a ‘turnkey’ package.
the solution
An expansive reception area forms the hub of the meeting suite. Seven meeting rooms have been created, each with state-of-the-art, fully integrated audio/visual equipment. Existing fittings (such as rugs and artwork) have been used with new elements to achieve a calming atmosphere; a sanctuary in the city. The main corridor and meeting room walls are the most dramatic features, made of glass, artist Sigrid Holmwood designed the manifestation film by photographing a Swedish forest to create the stunning effect of the natural environment, tinted blue. The meeting room walls are inclined at a 10 degree angle to give further interest to the space. Swedish nature in the heart of the city!
the result
SEB Enskilda wanted a meeting suite that would be among the best in London, showcasing their Scandinavian roots and integrating cutting edge technology. Constructive has achieved this – the suite most definitely has a wow factor.
